RPCS.info highly recommends Dropbox. It will seamlessly synchronise files between multiple computers or better yet, automatically keep an up to date backup of important files for you.
You can sign up to dropbox by visiting this link. It will them ask you to download and install the software and link the computer to the account. Once this is done, follow the on screen instructions and viola, it’s done!
But one thing Dropbox seems to miss is adding the Dropbox to the right click sendto context menu. How useful would it be to right click on a file and send it straight to dropbox?
We at RPCS figured out a way of doing just that.
1. Open Windows Explorer (NOT IE)
2. Select the following text and copy it to the clipboard by pressing Ctrl-C.
%APPDATA%/Microsoft/Windows/SendTo
3. In Explorer click in an empty area inside the address bar. Doing so should highlight everything in there turning it blue.
4. Press Ctrl-V to paste in that previously copied text, then press Enter. Now you should be looking at the folder containing Windows send-to shortcuts.
5. Now you need to find the Windows shortcut to Dropbox. This may require opening another Explorer window or having the shortcut on your desktop. Right click it and choose Copy.
6. Back in the original Explorer window the one displaying SendTo, right-click an open area and choose Paste. Viola, your shortcut appears. Close the window and you’re done.
Now when you right-click any file or folder and mouse over Send to, you should see Dropbox among the options. Click to send the document to Dropbox. It’s that easy.
